The Louisiana State University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Social Sciences to join our faculty team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and developing course materials in the fields of Geography, Political Science, Psychology, and/or Sociology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and teach course materials in the fields of Geography, Political Science, Psychology, and/or Sociology.
- Communicate effectively with students and the Division regarding course materials and student progress.
- Submit timely grades and student learning outcomes to the Division.
- Attend office hours and provide support to students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Division.
- Master's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- OR Master's degree in an unrelated field plus 18 credit hours in a related Social Sciences field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution and 2 years of teaching experience in both in-person and online settings.
- Ability to teach effectively and incorporate a variety of teaching strategies to maximize learning.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
