About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our bakery department runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering customer questions, making recommendations, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and slicers, to prepare and package baked goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bakery department, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning equipment, and restocking shelves.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
