Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Grace Pacific LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction site maintenance, including removing and installing guardrail, posts, and signs, as well as loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials from vehicles and storage areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Site Preparation: Remove guardrail, posts, and signs for replacement using hand tools and equipment.
  2. Installation: Install guardrail, posts, and signs using hand tools and equipment.
  3. Highway Striping: Read plans and apply highway striping in accordance with project specifications.
  4. Material Handling: Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from vehicles and storage areas.
  5. Fencing: Remove and install chain link fencing.
  6. Truck Maintenance: Check assigned truck daily and complete required checklists.
  7. Site Maintenance: Assist in maintaining jobsite, yard, and equipment.
  8. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. Safety and Teamwork: Promote awareness of and follow Company and general safety policies. Ensure crew members apply the standards for safe working conditions and a refit for work each day. Promote, support, and facilitate teamwork between all crews by exhibiting a positive attitude.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  2. CDL: CDL, Class B Standard Shift (with air brake endorsement) or greater.
  3. Driver History: Favorable driver history record and driver license required.
  4. Mechanical Ability: Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools.
  5. Experience: One year of construction industry experience preferred.
  6. Forklift Certification: Forklift certification preferred.
  7. Lifting Ability: Able to lift pounds regularly.
  8. Communication Skills: Basic math and verbal/written communication skills required.
  9. Job Specifications: Ability to read and understand job specifications and written instructions.
  10. Work Schedule: Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and possible occasional work on the neighbor islands.
