Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Part-Time Autism Therapist to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to provide one-on-one care to children with autism in their homes, implementing individualized treatment plans and promoting skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one care to children with autism in their homes, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Implement individualized treatment plans, promoting skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, and daily living skills
- Collect data, monitor progress, and support client development
- Manage problematic behaviors through effective intervention strategies
- Provide regular updates to the clinical team regarding client progress
- Maintain a positive and respectful environment at all times
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers, fostering collaborative relationships
- Remain open and curious to learn new skills and methodologies
- Utilize creative teaching and problem-solving skills to enhance the learning experience
- High school degree or higher
- Preferably a portion of or complete bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or early education
- RBT certification in good standing preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Passion for working with children
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
- Eagerness to grow and learn
- Willingness to support others within the team
- Flexibility and open-mindedness
- Excitement for personal and professional development
