As a Field Sales Engineer at Industrial Electric Mfg Inc, your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our extensive range of power distribution products, including MV/LV Switchgear, Switchboards, and Panelboards, through direct sales channels. This role entails nurturing and developing relationships with medium to large Electrical Contractor accounts while also establishing connections and driving sales with key end-user clients.

The position will operate within a defined territory, with a focus on building a robust network in the electrical equipment market. The ideal candidate will have established trust and rapport with a core group of existing contractors, end users, or electrical distributors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of years' experience in the sales of power distribution equipment, particularly MV/LV switchgear and switchboards. Experience in the Data Center sector is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a proven track record in negotiating medium to large project orders, successfully cultivating new relationships, and maintaining existing partnerships throughout the sales process.
  • Generate precise project proposals that incorporate both IEM and non-IEM products to deliver a comprehensive bid package.
  • Be a self-driven professional with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop, implement, and continuously refine a strategic Account plan.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with all decision-makers and influencers within accounts that affect current or future business.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the client’s purchasing process and articulate it effectively.
  • Identify and pursue revenue opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Understand and address the challenges and requirements of clients.
  • Utilize personal and internal resources to create proposals that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Monitor the client’s purchasing journey to provide timely and relevant proposals.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to the Platform Execution team post-sale.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of all commercial engagements to ensure customer satisfaction and our performance as a vendor.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business, including their commercial status, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges, to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Industrial Electric Mfg Inc products and services to effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Act as a strong advocate for the benefits of supporting accounts within Industrial Electric Mfg Inc.
  • Provide essential insights and guidance to internal stakeholders and functional departments to enhance their contributions to client success.
  • Manage forecasting and supply necessary information to the Sales Director for effective capacity planning.
