Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing delegated tasks within their scope of practice while adhering to the overall care delivery philosophy at SMC/SWER/Belmar ER. Emergency room nursing is inherently unpredictable, requiring readiness to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs. ER nurses must respond swiftly to both patient conditions and physician directives. We are seeking a motivated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to elevate our patient care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage closely with the EMS community, facilitating enhanced physician-patient interactions and ongoing learning.
  • Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care tailored to the individual needs of patients.
  • Execute delegated responsibilities in alignment with established care delivery philosophies.

Qualifications:

  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or current multistate nursing licensure.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; CEN preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Experience in emergency department nursing is required.
