PACU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Swedish Medical Center. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities- Oversee and direct the care of post-surgical/post-procedural patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the recovery process.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as needed to maintain optimal health and well-being.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS & PALS Certifications.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience required. PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care or ED experience preferred.
