Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, premises, and surrounding areas. This role may also be referred to as a Sanitation Technician. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute extensive cleaning tasks, including using compressed air and other techniques to clean machinery.
- Perform scrubbing, sanitizing, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping duties.
- Manage waste disposal, clean spills, replace air fresheners, change light bulbs, secure premises, paint, maintain water coolers, and prepare facilities for events.
- Clean various areas including offices, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Assist in moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Apply pest control measures, maintain outdoor areas, and clear walkways of snow or debris.
- Engage in safety initiatives, utilize Personal Protective Equipment, and report maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, monitor and replenish supplies in restrooms and break rooms.
- Operate powered industrial trucks for moving and handling materials.
- Consistently meet efficiency and safety standards.
- Follow directives from supervisors and maintain a tidy work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as required.

Additional Duties:
- Support other production roles as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Ability to recognize colors and sizes, accurately count and sort items.
- In certain locations, certification to operate powered industrial trucks may be required.
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and procedures, or willingness to learn.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Ability to work independently and follow written or verbal instructions.
Education:
- No formal education required.

Physical Requirements:
- The role involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and working in confined spaces.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 90 lbs. and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
- The position involves working in both indoor and outdoor settings typical of an industrial laundry facility, which includes exposure to large machinery, temperature variations, and various environmental factors.

Travel Requirements:
- None.
