About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team at Stanford University. As a key member of our Information Security Office, you will play a critical role in protecting our digital resources and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze security alerts and assess incidents to ensure prompt response and resolution
  • Participate in the development and implementation of security programs and services, including security information systems and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote security best practices and minimize risk
  • Stay up-to-date with current information security issues, trends, and technologies to ensure our systems remain secure
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on systems engineering, deployment/automation engineering, endpoint engineering, authentication, log analysis, cloud administration, or network administration
  • Strong knowledge of modern information technology systems and a passion for cybersecurity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
