Position Overview

As a Courtroom Administrative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in documenting and preserving court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend court sessions to accurately record proceedings and transcribe notes into the standard minute entry format within specified timeframes.
  • Ensure that all exhibits presented during court proceedings are properly recorded and secured.
  • Communicate oaths and affirmations to witnesses and jurors, as well as relay the contents of court documents to participants.
  • Process and issue various court documents, including protective orders and warrants, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized list of cases under advisement for quarterly submission to the appropriate authorities.
  • Participate in training sessions and mentoring opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Work Environment

  • This position primarily involves working in a fast-paced office setting with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, with potential teleworking options based on business needs.
  • Candidates should be prepared to travel to various job-related locations as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in clerical, legal office, or court-related roles.
