Position Summary
The Continuing Education (CE) Administrator Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Medical Education by facilitating the operations of CE initiatives. This position ensures adherence to the standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and other relevant accrediting organizations, including the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The CE Administrator Assistant is tasked with overseeing all aspects of continuing education programs, which may include securing financial backing for and/or creating live or enduring educational activities such as conferences, webinars, and home study courses tailored for diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the CE Administrator and the Director of Medical Education in the development, execution, and management of accredited Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) programs.
- Preparing and maintaining essential accreditation documentation, including records, reports, and compliance reviews, as well as processing CE credits and certificates.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to departmental and CME/CPE/CNE policies that align with CE regulatory standards.
- Tracking project tasks using project management tools to maintain organizational efficiency.
- Seeking financial support for educational activities by preparing grant applications and necessary documentation to secure funding for assigned CE programs.
- Providing updates on project status during team meetings and other relevant gatherings.
- Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Medical Education or CEO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in continuing education, particularly in healthcare-related fields, is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare environments and terminology is advantageous.
- Proficient in word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, and online research tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
