Job Title: Stitcher 1, 3rd shift/11p-7a

At Nahan, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stitcher 1 to join our team. As a Stitcher 1, you will be responsible for directing Stitcher with Inkjet operations to provide a product that meets customer quality and time requirements while meeting company profitability requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with security guidelines set by Nahan to protect our customers.
  • Answer phone, perform basic production-related duties, and maintain schedule on track in absence of Shift Leader.
  • Inspect cost center processes to ensure they are done properly and quality standards are followed.
  • Read and understand postal specs and be able to follow the sign-off.
  • Complete sortation training and understand bagging requirements.
  • Learn, understand, and follow all established processes associated with the operation of the Ink Jet controller and all in-line equipment.
  • Setup, operate, and maintain the Ink Jet and all associated in-line equipment.
  • Perform helper duties, including setting up stations and sortation and bagging requirements.
  • Setup, run, and maintain all cards feeding equipment.
  • Set up, run, and maintain pocket feeders and all related equipment.
  • Set up, run, and maintain poly wrapper and all related equipment.
  • Set up machine in the correct manner and assure that the job is lined up and measured correctly according to job ticket and dylux.
  • Teach and train operation and basic troubleshooting of Stitcher.
  • Do make readies proficiently, pockets, stitcher heads, cover feeder, etc.
  • Repair and rebuild stitcher heads.
  • Change knives on trim systems proficiently.
  • Adjust/change gathering chain.
  • Demonstrate leadership in working with operators, Helpers, and temps, etc.
