Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provides guidance to on-site technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of repairs and maintenance work.
- Operational Management: Oversees the coordination, planning, and scheduling of repair work to increase productivity and monitor shop performance.
- Training and Development: Provides hands-on maintenance assistance and training to technicians to promote personal and professional growth.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develops and implements an ongoing preventative maintenance program to set the standard for service excellence and identify trends in road calls and break downs.
- Quality Control: Performs inspections of outside repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance with company safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Maintains advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems of company vehicles.
- Vendor Management: Manages professional business relationships with external vendors and maintains knowledge of equipment warranties.
- Leadership and Compliance: Demonstrates effective leadership skills, ensures compliance with applicable corporate, federal, and state rules and regulations, and communicates clear goals and provides coaching and development opportunities.
- Professional Development: Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 5 or more years of experience, and 3 years of leadership experience.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Relevant certifications in safety training and process improvements.
- Skills and Attributes: Self-directed, driven, organized, team-oriented, dependable, leadership skills, prioritization, problem-solving, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong customer service orientation.
