Job Summary:

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a skilled Central Monitor Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the arrhythmia analysis computer in the central monitor station, working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and the ability to interpret EKGs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and relevant healthcare experience, with a preference for LPN, EMT, or nursing assistant training.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate the arrhythmia analysis computer in the central monitor station
  • Interpret EKGs and identify cardiac rhythms
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Develop and maintain skills in EKG interpretation and arrhythmia analysis

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant healthcare experience, preferably in LPN, EMT, or nursing assistant roles
  • Advanced EKG course and/or competency examination
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or regulatory agencies
