Job Summary

The Early Learning Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Center located on the East Side of St. Paul. This role is part of an interdisciplinary team focused on developing a comprehensive early intervention strategy for children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage staffing and scheduling
• Implement curriculum and collect data
• Lead the teaching staff and meet enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals
• Handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining children's program records and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood, social work, or related human services field
• Minimum of 4 years' experience working with young, highly stressed children; experience in child care, preschool or other educational setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to understand and work well with young children and families challenged by economic and personal problems and of varying ethnic backgrounds
• Positive attitude and creative thinking, with a passion for working with children
• Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR training (may be taken after hire)
• NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge preferred
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated team building and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks with little direction
• Effective oral and written communicator
• Maintain valid Minnesota driver's license, good driving record and insurance coverage
