Job Summary

Central Piedmont Community College is seeking a qualified Part Time Instructor to teach Public Safety and Law Enforcement courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in a variety of learning environments, including classroom and online settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct and supervise students in Public Safety and Law Enforcement courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and industry partners
  • Assist in the development of proposals for training services to CCE customers and stay abreast of market developments in the area of teaching
  • Provide documentation and reports regarding attendance, grades, and course evaluation
  • Assist in the marketing of the program and develop relationships with industry partners
  • Adhere to the specific policies and requirements of the College and other pertinent agencies
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a related Criminal Justice Field
  • Valid General Instructor Certification from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission (for state mandated classes)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a community college
  • Ability to develop and offer courses online or through distance learning technologies
