Position Overview
We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Registered Nurse at our Shotwell Adult Medicine Clinic. Note: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a requirement for this position. This role is classified as Regular, Full Time, Exempt, with a competitive annual salary range of $91,000 to $97,000 along with comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care to patients and supervising assigned Medical Assistants and nursing staff. Key duties include:
  • Delivering patient care within the scope of nursing licensure.
  • Conducting thorough triage and providing advice for various patient demographics, including adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
  • Performing comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
  • Implementing behavioral strategies to encourage healthy lifestyle choices among patients.
  • Managing medication refills and prior authorizations according to established protocols.
  • Responding promptly to triage requests and emergency situations.
  • Conducting nurse visits for various procedures, including wound care and medication administration.
  • Educating patients on the significance of lab and radiology results.
  • Coordinating care for patients with chronic conditions.
  • Facilitating transitions of care for patients discharged from hospitals.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining medical emergency equipment.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California.
  • A degree from an accredited School of Nursing; a two-year nursing degree is required, while a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and practice management systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with population health systems is advantageous.
