Job Summary

As a Territory Manager at US Foods, you will be responsible for developing and managing established as well as new customers, by selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals. Your primary areas of responsibilities include:

  1. Fostering customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  2. Managing deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshooting any problems that occur during the order process.
  3. Communicating and collecting accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collecting all balances due based on approved credit terms.
  4. Leveraging other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
  5. Developing new business; identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

  • Three years of recent commissioned foodservice sales experience required with a proven record of achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
  • Problem-solving ability/organization and negotiation skills.
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products - Experience using Customer relationship management tools preferred (i.e., Salesforce).

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
