About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Loan Support Specialist to join our team at Mountain West Bank. As a key member of our commercial loan operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing and servicing of commercial loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble commercial loan documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Book and service commercial loans within tight deadlines.
  • Perform loan maintenance and research tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process payments, set up and change Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT) arrangements, waive late fees, and correct and reverse loan payments.
  • Process commercial loan payoffs and document release of collateral as approved.
  • Work with the team to resolve pending and filing issues, following up on required items and tracking exceptions.
  • Conduct reviews of commercial loan files, assemble files, and notate, follow-up, and track exceptions.
  • Research unposted and Work-In-Progress (WIP) / General Ledger (GL) items, making necessary corrections to loans.
  • Perform check backs on all commercial loans booked, track errors, and follow up on corrections.
  • Complete necessary tasks for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) Loan Application Register (LAR) & Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) reporting.
  • Cross-train other team members and provide prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in commercial loan policies, procedures, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of experience in commercial loan operations, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures, including commercial loan documentation and servicing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within strict timeframes and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
