Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at Coach USA. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our fleet of buses.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with experience working on heavy-duty vehicles. They will be responsible for performing basic, routine, and preventative maintenance bus repairs, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning components and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Inspect and test repaired vehicles to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete repairs and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in diesel technology preferred.
  • Class A or B commercial driver's license (CDL) required; valid CDL or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
  • Two or more years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the transportation industry.
