About the Job

As a Diesel Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and interacting with customers to resolve complaints. You will work closely with other technicians and shop management to ensure seamless operations and high-quality results.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or technical certification is preferred.
  • Basic tools are necessary for the job, but we provide all equipment and training.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A is preferred but not required; if hired, you must obtain a CDL within six months.
Responsibilities
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake, and tire work.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers/software when applicable.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of their complaint once assigned a task.
  • Instruct and advise other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics.
  • Coach/Mentor other level technicians and advise shop management on shop repairs.
