Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Attendant collaborates with the Housekeeping Management Team to support Room Attendants across designated floors or buildings. Responsibilities include the collection of soiled linens and their transportation to the laundry area, delivering fresh linens to Room Attendant carts, and managing waste disposal throughout the hotel premises.

In addition, the role may involve assisting with commercial laundry operations and maintaining cleanliness in public areas, including exterior entrances and parking facilities. Special projects may be assigned by the Housekeeping Manager as needed.



Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional service in alignment with Sonesta's G.U.E.S.T. standards during all guest interactions. Collaborate with Room Attendants in handling heavy items such as mattresses and linens. Ensure timely delivery of linens and supplies to Room Attendants.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in floor closets and corridors, which includes removing trash, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as properly storing non-floor closet items.

Respond promptly to guest requests and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Perform cleaning duties in designated areas, including public restrooms and storage rooms.
Report maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Address special requests and guest complaints while ensuring the delivery of housekeeping supplies for optimal guest satisfaction.
Minimize waste of supplies and amenities in all housekeeping areas.
Handle lost and found items in accordance with established protocols.
Regularly assist with deep cleaning initiatives when required.
When assigned to laundry duties, monitor supplies and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Operate washers and dryers in compliance with hotel standards and manufacturer guidelines. Inspect soiled linens for damage or stains and manage the folding and storage of clean linens, reporting any damages to the supervisor.
Foster teamwork and quality service through effective communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
Experience in the extended stay industry is advantageous.
Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are preferred.
Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move throughout the facility.
Capable of lifting or carrying items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Familiarity with commercial cleaning chemicals is required.
Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $20 - $22/hr, with base pay varying based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
