**Job Title:** Music Licensing Assistant

**About the Role:

The Music Licensing Assistant plays a critical role in the Music Licensing Department, ensuring timely and accurate music license processing. This involves generating cue sheets for affiliate partners and organizing submitted cue sheets. The assistant collaborates with other Music Assistants to maintain metadata for ESPN Owned Copyright and licensed music.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Music Licensing Coordinator in preparing, filing, coordinating, and organizing music licenses and related documentation.
  • Manage the storage, organization, update, and ingestion of digital metadata for worldwide tracking and monetization.
  • Assist in registering ESPN owned copyrights and reconcile the backlog of Copyright metadata.
  • Track ESPN programming on affiliate networks and submit cue sheets to those networks or our Publishing Administrator.
  • Collaborate with other Music Assistants to organize, compile, and deliver series/seasonal music packages for assigned Productions as needed.

**Requirements:

This position requires 1-2 years of experience or understanding in broadcast, technical operations, library science, or music backgrounds. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Prioritizing projects based on time and resources available is also required. Demonstrated high organizational and communication skills and abilities are necessary.

**Preferred Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of college with some professional experience or understanding in broadcast, technical operations, library science, or music licensing backgrounds is preferred. Familiarity with Soundmouse, SynchTank, and Smartsheet is also beneficial.

**Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year.
