About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team at Beck & Pollitzer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health and safety guidance and assistance to ensure that all Beck & Pollitzer projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Undertake administrative duties necessary to support the H&S functions of the Business.
  • Drive a culture of behavioural safety and personal responsibility for all persons working on site.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and assistance to managers on sites, ensuring that all Occupational Safety and Health regulatory responsibilities are being upheld.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits as requested, checking policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
  • Prepare audit reports and generate corrective action reports where non-conformances are identified.
  • Maintain administrative records of inspection findings, incidents, and accidents, and produce statistics for directors and managers.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all applicable legislation and developments that affect our industry.
Requirements
  • OSHA 510 certification
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Computer skills – reports writing, spreadsheets, and databases (MS Windows)
  • Able to collate and manipulate data to produce timely reports on key H&S systems
  • Driver's license and Approved 10 Year MVR
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience within a construction organization
  • OSHA 500/501 - Authorized to train
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certified trainer

  • Excellent written and verbal skills at technical and professional levels
  • Able to work at a consistent level under pressure and demanding deadlines
  • Able to work with others in various team environments and to be confident and assertive with people at all levels
  • Excellent time management skills, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to recommend and apply practical solutions to potentially unsafe operations
Travel Requirements

This role will involve travel within the United States and site visits will sometimes require excessive walking, stair climbing, squatting, or kneeling.
