Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Interventional Radiology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and advancing medical science through research and education.
Job SummaryThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with interventional radiologists and nursing staff to prepare for and scrub into interventional procedures, utilizing advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography to provide care in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
- Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
- Complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
- Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, and more
- Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of patients, including respect for privacy and communication style
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible with temporary state license required
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred: Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
