Hollenshades Auto Service is seeking an Automotive Service General Manager to oversee our operations. In this role, you will cultivate relationships with a diverse clientele, both new and returning. Your daily tasks will include managing vehicle intake, collaborating with technicians and shop staff for service and repair estimates, and communicating with customers for repair order approvals, all while adhering to industry best practices. You will need to devise effective and efficient methods to handle daily responsibilities, which include engaging with shop personnel and other managers, generating leads, ensuring thorough follow-up, and completing sales transactions. You will also interface with senior management and provide leadership within the front office.
Maintaining the highest ethical standards for our sales team is crucial, and we expect you to uphold these standards and practices. If you have a proven history of managing a high-volume automotive facility, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate clients on the service and repair process, set and communicate timelines, foster brand loyalty, and finalize sales transactions.
- Collaborate with technicians to accurately estimate work using industry-standard labor and repair guides.
- Oversee daily operations of the service center while ensuring high employee morale.
- Utilize our company's POS and CRM systems to track prospective and existing customers.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through the service experience, encouraging referrals and repeat business.
- Monitor sales regularly, forecast market trends, and identify future opportunities.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years in automotive maintenance and repair, with at least one year in a management capacity preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry; prior experience in the local automotive aftermarket is advantageous.
- Proficient in computer use, including email and Microsoft Office, as well as industry data tools such as ALLDATA and Mitchell1. Our facility utilizes ROwriter for its POS and ERP system.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
