Department Overview

The Biological Sciences Program at Bridgewater State University provides a comprehensive education through Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science - Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Arts degrees. Our mission is to immerse students in the scientific method while fostering critical thinking and effective communication in science. Students are at the heart of our program, collaborating closely with faculty who are passionate about both teaching and research. Key Responsibilities

The Department of Biological Sciences at Bridgewater State University is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty for the upcoming academic year. We are looking for enthusiastic educators dedicated to undergraduate teaching.

Specific courses available include:
  • BIOL 100L (General Principles of Biology Lab)
Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds with varying abilities.

Required Qualifications

A Master's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field is required.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to undergraduate education are essential.

Candidates must also show a dedication to excellence in teaching and advising that fosters an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. is preferred.

Prior teaching experience is also preferred.
