Efficient Dental Support Specialist

We are a dynamic dental practice, Pore Dental Group, seeking a detail-oriented and organized Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position that offers an attractive opportunity for individuals who value excellent patient care and efficient workflows.
About the RoleAs a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient experiences. Your primary duties will include preparing patients for appointments, selecting and setting up necessary instruments and equipment, sterilizing instruments according to regulations, and assisting the dentist during procedures. You will also undertake lab tasks as instructed, take radiographs when required, maintain accurate patient records, and keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
Responsibilities- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their appointments by gathering necessary information, reviewing medical histories, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Instrument Management: Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for each procedure, ensuring that everything is readily available and in good working condition.
- Sterilization: Sterilize instruments according to established regulations and protocols to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Dental Assistance: Assist the dentist during procedures, providing direct support and helping to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Lab Tasks: Undertake lab tasks as instructed, including processing x-rays, preparing dental impressions, and completing other related duties.
- Radiography: Take radiographs when required, ensuring that images are clear and of high quality.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are readily available and in good working condition.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods, as well as an understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Communication: Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Organizational Abilities: Showcase organizational abilities, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
