Central Sterile Processing Director

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
This job oversees the staffing of the central sterile processing team, including hiring, evaluations, and training. It involves budget planning, managing expenses, and regulatory compliance to ensure cost efficiency and appropriate patient care.

- Manage hiring, onboarding, orientation, performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline for the central sterile processing team.
- Participate in financial management through budget planning preparations, FTE allotments, and monitoring overtime, equipment & supply expenses.
- Oversee instrument ordering, maintenance, and inventory.
- Provide guidance over quality initiatives and drive improvement plans concentrating on metrics and quality indicators.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- A strong background in health science or related field, preferably with a degree in health science or a related field.
- Clinical or leadership experience, with at least 3 years in the field, and preferably 5 years.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) upon hire, or Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) within 6 months of hire.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
