This leadership role plays a crucial part in our efforts to provide exceptional patient care. The Medical Department Supervisor - Central Sterilization will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sterile processing department, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and inventoried. This includes managing inventory levels of Operating Room (OR) supplies, coordinating the activities of the sterile processing department, and supervising staff members. A key aspect of this role is training and developing staff while ensuring employees are motivated to achieve functional objectives.

As a Medical Department Supervisor - Central Sterilization, you will work closely with various teams, including surgical services, to ensure seamless communication and coordination. You will also be responsible for adapting behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy and effective communication styles. To succeed in this role, you should possess strong leadership and motivational skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate good judgment and function calmly in handling difficult situations.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can lead our sterile processing department effectively. If you have 3 years of experience working with and leading teams, possess a certification such as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), and meet the physical demands of the job, we encourage you to apply. Estimated annual salary: $64,800 - $96,000 based on location and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, enabling them to evaluate supply utilization and determine the most effective inventory levels. Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications is also essential. As a Medical Department Supervisor - Central Sterilization, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety within our healthcare organization.
