Job Summary

The Blake is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, evaluate, and supervise a team of housekeepers and maintenance staff.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist with emergency preparedness and required safety drills.
  • Transportation: Assist with transportation of residents as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent and 2+ years of supervisory experience in building maintenance and/or housekeeping.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of OSHA compliance and laws, ability to explain work duties to staff, and ability to effectively interact with residents, families, employees, visitors, and government agencies.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform manual tasks daily, be mobile, and perform physical requirements of the job.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, masonry, grounds keeping, commercial appliance repair, electrical wiring, and safety practices and procedures related to the building trades.
