Job Overview

Madera Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Medical Staff Services to provide leadership and administration of programs and operations provided by the Medical Staff Office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical staff affairs, continuous quality improvement, and management experience. They will be responsible for acting as a liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, medical records, and administration, as well as implementing and maintaining educational activities necessary for the continuous quality improvement program.

The Director of Medical Staff Services will also be responsible for ensuring the incorporation of quality information into the medical staff peer review and reappointment process, and communicating and collaborating with the medical staff, patient care departments, and other department staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and administration of programs and operations provided by the Medical Staff Office
  • Act as liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, medical records, and administration
  • Implement and maintain educational activities necessary for the continuous quality improvement program
  • Ensure incorporation of quality information into the medical staff peer review and reappointment process
  • Communicate and collaborate with the medical staff, patient care departments, and other department staff

Requirements:

  • CPHQ or NAMSS certification
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in business related field
  • Minimum 5 years acute care hospital background
  • 5 years management experience
  • At least three years in supervisory position in the following areas: Medical Staff Affairs, Medical Staff Continuous Quality Improvement
