At StageBio, we are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician I to join our team in Frederick, MD. As a key member of our histology laboratory, you will be responsible for performing tissue grossing, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and quality control duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform histology duties, including tissue grossing, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and quality control
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety and chemical regulations
  • Promptly and accurately record data
  • Daily cleaning of work area and equipment
  • Other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology
  • Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of understanding FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, and StageBio's SOPs
  • Be very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork
  • Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Education:

High school diploma required; college degree preferred or 3 years' experience in histology/pathology lab
