Job Overview

Position: Fulfillment Pick-Pack Helper

Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt

Supervisor: Fulfillment Operations Manager


Objective: Acquire a foundational understanding of order fulfillment processes, specifically in picking and packing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and comprehend packing slips accurately.
  • Adhere to Fulfillment's Standard Operating Procedures diligently.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of all assigned tasks.
  • Lead temporary staff, ensuring precision and quality in all machine operations. Promptly communicate any production challenges to the shift supervisor.
  • Verify each picked order and familiarize oneself with products for customer satisfaction.
  • Read and understand all relevant documentation and forms.
  • Package items efficiently while maintaining an appealing presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness in production areas consistently.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Performance Evaluation: Feedback will be provided both verbally and in writing as necessary, with recognition during monthly employee meetings. Formal training on any changes in SOP will occur as needed, with an annual review by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 3-6 months of relevant experience.

Language and Mathematical Skills:

Ability to read simple one and two-syllable words, print and communicate basic sentences. Proficiency in adding and subtracting two-digit numbers, as well as multiplying and dividing by 10s and 100s.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand or walk for most of the day, with the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds is required, with the potential to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Continuous use of hands and arms is necessary, including reaching overhead. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to focus.

Work Environment:

Work may involve proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes and airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and contact with toxic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to loud.
