Order Processing Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of orders for the Activar Construction Products Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving customer purchase orders, determining customer and part numbers, pricing, shipping requirements, lead time, responsibility center, and cost center associated with the order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process customer purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Determine customer and part numbers, pricing, shipping requirements, lead time, responsibility center, and cost center associated with the order.
  • Enter orders in the Sales Order module within BC.
  • Process change orders as required.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast-paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • Highly accurate data entry skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Previous experience in a relevant administrative or customer service setting.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.

Preferred:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
