Baltaire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining steakhouse, ensuring that every guest has a exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant employees during shifts.
- Establish and maintain a culture of excellence in service standards and guest-focused hospitality.
- Ensure alignment of service focuses with General Manager and promote these areas of education and development.
- Operational Efficiency
- Manage the atmosphere of the restaurant, ensuring music, lights, and temperature are at optimal levels.
- Ensure safety is a top priority by identifying potential hazards and correcting them promptly.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Quality and Consistency
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Achieve company objectives in service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees.
- Guest Experience
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
- Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Team Development
- Train and develop employees in technical skills, salesmanship, food safety, and sanitation.
- Mentor and coach front-of-house team members.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
Requirements
- 5+ years of guest-related experience in the food and beverage service and/or retail industry.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience and knowledge of ABC laws for the legal sale of alcohol.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays when required.
