Job Description

Overview

Baltaire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining steakhouse, ensuring that every guest has a exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant employees during shifts.
    • Establish and maintain a culture of excellence in service standards and guest-focused hospitality.
    • Ensure alignment of service focuses with General Manager and promote these areas of education and development.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Manage the atmosphere of the restaurant, ensuring music, lights, and temperature are at optimal levels.
    • Ensure safety is a top priority by identifying potential hazards and correcting them promptly.
    • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Quality and Consistency
    • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
    • Achieve company objectives in service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees.
  • Guest Experience
    • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Team Development
    • Train and develop employees in technical skills, salesmanship, food safety, and sanitation.
    • Mentor and coach front-of-house team members.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
    • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of guest-related experience in the food and beverage service and/or retail industry.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of ABC laws for the legal sale of alcohol.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays when required.
