Job Summary

The Rental Delivery Driver II is responsible for delivering large equipment to DIY and professional customers. This role requires a Class A CDL license and the ability to operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck. The driver must be knowledgeable in the basic operation of the equipment and provide training to customers on its proper use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver large equipment to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport equipment.
  • Provide training to customers on the proper use of the equipment.
  • Verify that the equipment is clean and operational prior to and after each delivery.
  • Utilize company technology to document all work performed and obtain required signatures on rental contracts.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL license.
  • 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience in the previous 5 years.
  • 1 year of flatbed tractor-trailer experience in the previous 5 years.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient delivery routing.
  • Working understanding of safe load securement, tie-downs, and transport.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations/DOT guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences.
Working Conditions

This role requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment. The driver will typically work in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
