Job Summary

Kavaliro's client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Systems Engineer/Architect to join their team in a dynamic and challenging role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment and configuration scripts using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience working in production AWS environments.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Level III preferred).
  • Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualized environments, virtual networking appliances, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Git-centric workflows, release management, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with platform as a service (PaaS) products such as Cloud Foundry and Heroku.
  • Deep understanding of systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics, especially at the container level.
  • Experience with Windows automation using PowerShell and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
