We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team as a Traveling Field Technician. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide primary support for hardware and software solutions deployed in various retail locations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Identify and resolve user problems presented through the Support Service Desk.
- Coordinate user problem resolution with other departments as needed and track recurring problems.
- Log and track issues using a problem management database and maintain history records and related problem documentation.
- Analyze and correct problems using documented procedures, available tools, and personal knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems and escalate difficult issues to Team Lead for more technical assistance.
- Communicate with peers, manager, and customers regarding trends, significant problems, and delays.
- Learn current inter-company retail software systems and aid the current IT team in support and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and vendor services as necessary.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable technology support experience.
- Ability to deal with stress and changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Valid US driver's license with a clean driving history for the past 2 years.
- Two or four-year degree.
- Industry certifications a plus.
- Understanding of ITIL.
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Travel is required for 75% or more of the time.
