Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team as a Traveling Field Technician. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide primary support for hardware and software solutions deployed in various retail locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Identify and resolve user problems presented through the Support Service Desk.
  • Coordinate user problem resolution with other departments as needed and track recurring problems.
  • Log and track issues using a problem management database and maintain history records and related problem documentation.
  • Analyze and correct problems using documented procedures, available tools, and personal knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems and escalate difficult issues to Team Lead for more technical assistance.
  • Communicate with peers, manager, and customers regarding trends, significant problems, and delays.
  • Learn current inter-company retail software systems and aid the current IT team in support and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and vendor services as necessary.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of IT standards and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable technology support experience.
  • Ability to deal with stress and changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving history for the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or four-year degree.
  • Industry certifications a plus.
  • Understanding of ITIL.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Travel is required for 75% or more of the time.
