Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Operation Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, particularly chillers, in various industrial and commercial settings.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical journeyman with experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional settings. You will have the chance to develop yourself through meaningful work projects and learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, in various industrial and commercial settings.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Three years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • Member of Local Union 286 or willing to join.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e., smartphones, iPads).
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Appropriate licenses to work with refrigerant, boiler, and steam operational & service knowledge.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on call nights and weekends on a schedule-rotating basis.
