Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Specialist - HVAC Design and Reporting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting data from our system and transferring documentation to energy raters through various means.

 

Responsibilities:

  • HVAC Design Reports: Develop detailed reports that provide information on the energy efficiency of HVAC systems, including energy savings estimates and equipment specifications.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date on current Energy Star certification requirements and industry trends related to energy efficiency and HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of Builder Constructions Plans: Possess knowledge of builder constructions plans, which is a plus.
  • Communication: Communicate with General Contractors and Rater administrators regarding plan specifics and clarifications required.
  • HVAC Manual J, S and D Loads: Revises HVAC Manual J, S and D loads with minimal deviations to ensure accurate equipment sizing and design.
  • Codes and Regulations: Develops a working knowledge of all associated codes and Department of Energy regulations and works with management to comply with any changes to code.
  • Priority Work: Takes direction from management regarding priority of work for the day.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel.
