Medical Assistant Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and hold a current CPR/AED or BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient care, including taking medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, and providing treatment support.
- Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Prepare and administer medications, injections, and other treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide information about treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Current CPR/AED or BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and healthcare practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical office software.
