We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Trauma Surgery team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our trauma surgery program.
Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with complex trauma injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our trauma surgery program.
- Provide education and training to students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Active PA license in the state of Illinois.
- Active national board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Active DEA registration.
- Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP certification as required by clinical practice.
- Experience working in a trauma surgery setting.
- Knowledge of trauma surgery principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday. The incumbent must also have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
