Key Responsibilities of the Automotive Technician:
- Perform repairs on customer vehicles.
- Diagnose issues with damaged vehicles.
- Effectively communicate automotive problems and repairs to customers while ensuring excellent service.
- Plan repair procedures utilizing manuals, charts, and hands-on experience.
- Conduct basic auto care and bodywork, including restoration tasks.
- Be open to pursuing additional certifications as needed.
- Show a willingness to learn through practical training.
- Help maintain a clean and organized repair facility.
- Present a professional and tidy appearance.
Requirements for the Automotive Technician:
- Capability to execute recalls and repairs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver friendly customer service.
- Ability to accurately interpret and transcribe data for record-keeping.
- Efficiently perform regular maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of autobody repairs.
- Proficiency in using automotive tools and equipment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination skills.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is necessary.
