As a Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our guests at all times. This position demands unwavering focus on safety in various environments. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring park attractions and play areas during operational hours. While our aim is to prevent incidents, our trained staff is prepared to respond to any situation that may arise. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring guest activities throughout the park.
- Securing and clearing the pool area at closing time.
- Addressing any misuse of facilities or inappropriate behavior.
- Conducting daily inspections of assigned zones and equipment to ensure guest safety.
- Enforcing specific participant rules.
This role involves significant guest interaction, and we expect outstanding service from all our team members. If selected, you will receive comprehensive lifeguard training to prepare you for the responsibilities of the position.
Eligibility Requirements:
At the beginning of the training class, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1 (Special Facilities Lifeguard - Pay Rate $8.25 per hour):
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to swim 200 yards without stopping at the start of the first class (no time limit).
- Ability to retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of an 8-foot pool.
Option 2 (Shallow Water Lifeguard - Must be 16 or older - Pay Rate $7.80 per hour):
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to swim 50 yards without stopping at the start of the first class (no time limit).
- Ability to retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of a 5-foot pool.
Option 3 (Shallow Water Lifeguard - Pay Rate $7.50 per hour):
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Ability to swim 50 yards without stopping at the start of the first class (no time limit).
- Ability to retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of a 5-foot pool.
Note: If offered employment, candidates should be prepared to provide identification documentation.
