Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to help us manage our company's finances. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience and proficiency in accounting, finance, or related fields.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine financial records for the company.
  • Process daily work order tickets from the dispatch department.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding missing information on work order tickets.

Accountabilities:

  1. Setup new customer accounts.
  2. Collect COD accounts as needed.
  3. Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  4. Compute customer account balances by totaling unpaid invoices.
  5. Contact customers regarding past due invoices via phone, fax, email - by any means necessary to collect.
  6. Verify the accuracy of business transactions.
  7. Perform data entry and administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or related fields.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Deadline-oriented and detail-focused.
  • Friendly demeanor over the phone and in person.
  • Willingsness to work overtime when necessary.

Estimated Salary:$70,000 - $90,000 per year based on location and experience.
