In your role as a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising nursing care activities during your shift, ensuring compliance with the guidelines set forth by the Director of Nursing Services, and maintaining the highest quality of care for our residents.
Qualifications:- Active RN license is required
- Minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited institution
- CPR certification is mandatory
- Preferably one year of experience in a healthcare environment
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing is advantageous
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services to manage Nursing Services operations
- Address the clinical needs of residents while fostering positive relationships with them and their families
- Ensure effective communication and maintain a positive work atmosphere
- Oversee nursing staff certifications and licensing
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of nursing practices
- Participate in the development of safety standards and infection control protocols
- Lead staff meetings within the nursing department
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical practices and regulations
- Familiarity with privacy regulations
- Capability to plan, organize, and implement quality care programs
- Effective communication skills, especially in emergencies
- Comprehensive understanding of nursing theory and practice
