Monroe Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Education Assistant to support students during lunch and recess periods. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring student safety and well-being, while also assisting with instructional activities and freeing up educators to focus on curriculum development and other essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunch and recess periods
  • Assist with instructional activities under the guidance of certified teachers
  • Free up educators to focus on curriculum development and other essential tasks

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • An Associate's Degree or higher (preferred)
  • Experience supervising children (or passing score on paraprofessional exam)

Working Conditions

This position requires you to work both inside and outside, often in close proximity to children. You must be able to move freely and remain on your feet throughout the day.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (estimated), depending on qualifications and experience.
