Job Summary

Align Precision is seeking a skilled Wire EDM Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled semiautomatic wire EDM machines to produce high-precision parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mount connector panels on machine pallets and program the machines to move the panels along a predetermined path.
  • Start the automatic programmed tape for pin sequence and observe the panel lights to ensure the correct wire size is being used.
  • Select and mount the specified wire on the machine spindle and thread it through the positions gun to align it with the pins on the connector panel.
  • Observe the directional lights of the machine to determine the movement of the pallet and gun support.
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet the required standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and will be required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
