Position Overview

The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated is seeking dedicated Companions to provide essential support and companionship to our residents. The role involves delivering personal assistance and home management services while adhering to established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer companionship to clients, including light personal grooming assistance such as hair brushing, makeup application, and nail care.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, which may include meal preparation, laundry services, mending clothing, changing bed linens, and maintaining cleanliness in living areas.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients, including escorting them to medical appointments.
  • Monitor and report any significant changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate health agency.
  • Assist clients with reading, managing bills, scheduling appointments, and arranging transportation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Availability to work during emergencies or natural disasters may be required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are necessary.
